Yes, Cashvelope is free to download on both the App Store and Google Play. Core budgeting features are available at no cost.
By default, all transactions and budgets are stored locally on your device — no account required. You can optionally sign in to enable backup and sync across devices.
You create a budget envelope for each spending category (e.g. Groceries, Dining, Transport) and set a monthly limit. Every time you log an expense, it draws from that envelope — progress bars show what's left in real time.
Tap the Calendar tab at the bottom of the app. Each day that has transactions shows the total spent. Tap any date to see the individual expenses logged that day.
The Report tab breaks spending into weekly bars so you can spot your heaviest weeks. It also shows total expenses, total income, net balance, and your daily average for the month.
